Standard Dosage Range
Research dosing range: Bolus: 180 mcg/kg IV; Infusion: 2 mcg/kg/min

Dosage by Use Case
Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) - Moderate to High Risk
72-96 hours
Administered in conjunction with aspirin and unfractionated heparin or low-molecular-weight heparin. Renal function should be assessed and dosing adjusted accordingly.
Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) - High Risk
18-24 hours post-PCI
A second bolus of 180 mcg/kg may be administered 10 minutes after the first bolus. Administered in conjunction with aspirin and heparin.
Renal Impairment (CrCl <50 mL/min) - ACS/PCI
As indicated by clinical protocol
Reduce infusion rate by 50% in patients with creatinine clearance <50 mL/min to minimize the risk of bleeding. Monitor renal function closely.
Timing & Frequency
Eptifibatide has a rapid onset of action. The bolus is typically administered immediately prior to or at the start of the intervention. The continuous infusion is maintained per protocol.
Cycle Guidance
Eptifibatide is not typically used in long-term cycles. Its use is reserved for acute cardiovascular events and during PCI. Duration of infusion is dictated by clinical protocols.
